The word street-connected children should not be in existence. No child was born on the street, it’s not normality to not find any place safer than the street. Children are born to be nurtured and trained. When they go astray or find themselves in unfortunate situations, we shouldn’t let them go. We can begin by showing them immense love rather than giving them the stubborn tag. Every child wants to be loved and feels that they can depend on us come what may.
The authorities of Kasu Basic School of the Volta Region believe that love should lead us all in dealing with our children and thus allowed us to have a wonderful interaction with their pupils. Yes, even the Bible says that we should train up the child the way he should go and he won’t depart from it when he grows. The training Starlight Foundation and Adamfo Ghana bring to school children and the community is to ensure that we have a solid foundation on how we address the needs of our children so they do not end up on the street.
Above all let’s love lead, even with those who are currently on the street. They need to be assured that the home is a safer place to be both physically and psychologically.
