Five years of staying consistent on the matter of street-connected children have been possible because we believe in collective work. As we’ve proclaimed earlier on, we are louder when we come together, we are more accomplished when the work is divided and we win when all hands are on deck. For us, five years means our readiness to collaborate on different levels to ensure that the menace on the street and in our communities comes to an end.
For the government, this is the time to invest more into amenities that includes the needs of these categories of people. Not only that, the things we write as proposals and plans must see daylight especially those connected to street children. For Non-Profitable Organizations both home and abroad, this is the time to show the world our commitment to eradicating Streetism for good. This cannot be done by one or two.
Strategic collaborations will ensure that all areas are covered and many people are actively put in positions where their contributions help bring hope to our street-connected children. For citizens, this is the time to show more concern and strengthen the family systems of our communities. If you cannot be of much help, refer these children to the appropriate authorities like the district assembly for further assistance.
