Today on International Day of Education, we reflect on the transformative power of learning and reaffirm our commitment to providing quality education for all.
At Starlight Foundation, this mission drives our work each day. We believe, as Nelson Mandela said, that education allows anyone – regardless of background – to realize their full potential. It is the great engine of human development.
That’s why we’re proud to implement programmes like our Menso Meka Ho Bi project, providing full scholarships and holistic support to street-connected children whilst empowering their parents and guardians. We want to break systemic barriers and empower vulnerable children to learn, grow, and thrive. 👩🎓👨🎓
Our Teach Them Young initiative also promotes education by teaching kids basic safety and health practices while raising awareness about the risks of streetism. Additionally, through Let Her Know, we’re educating both girls and boys on menstrual hygiene management to support continued school participation. ✨
But none of this would be possible without our amazing partners and sponsors like Adamfo Ghana, Thrive Foundation, and Triple A Groupe among others, who share our belief that education is the key to creating opportunities. We’re sincerely grateful for their collaboration in making education accessible to all. 🤝🙏
On this International Day of Education, let’s re-commit to the wise words of Abraham Lincoln: “Teach the children so it will not be necessary to teach the adults.” By giving all children access to education today, we can build a brighter tomorrow. 🌈
