Nothing is exciting for a child than Christmas day, sadly, some children are not able to experience such feelings. It will be like a regular begging day for a street child, nothing to expect or be excited about. What will make a child unable to sleep on Christmas eve? it’s the excitement of what tomorrow would look like in their eyes. Such visions can be transcended to the street child who doesn’t know when times and seasons change. For them, every day is a new day to gain what to eat either the right or wrong way.
We need to change that scenario and open a clear picture in their lives where they expect extraordinary things in their lives. A clear example is what will happen on 25th December when Starlight Foundation would organize the biggest street children carnival dubbed ‘Let Us Feed The Street Together’. Repeated scenes of this event would guarantee the street child what to expect of every Christmas just like any other child.
The keyword here is ‘together’, which implies that we need you to be a part of this, whether, in cash or in-kind, there is still one destination, to reach out to these children beyond giving.
