On the 8th of March, 2021, a team of dedicated and driven medical professionals journeyed to Suhum Newtown, a town located in the Eastern part of the country, with a single aim; bringing medical care services to the doorsteps of its indigenes through the Save A Life initiative under the auspices of the Starlight Foundation. Over (a hundred) people, including children, pregnant women, and the aged underwent medical screening, received treatment for various diseases such as malaria, and were educated on several health issues as part of our resolve to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 4 are achieved.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the chief, elders, and the people of Suhum Newtown for their warm reception and their immense contribution to the success of this project.
We are also grateful to the Assemblyman of the area (Mr. Emmanuel Yeboah) for coordinating all activities, mobilizing community members, and making our stay in Suhum Newtown a memorable experience.
To our partners Agnes-Love Memorial Foundation and Vagicare Consult, our volunteers, we are forever indebted to you. Your selfless sacrifice and your contributions, in cash and kind, fueled this project and helped us achieve our goals.
Finally, we say a big thank you to the general public for the support and prayers toward the success of this project. We are glad we can always count on you.
Yes! Together, we will survive!
