Our extensive visits to various schools have revealed a distressing reality: there are girls who have never encountered a sanitary pad, let alone used one. The Starlight Foundation, in collaboration with Adamfo Ghana and Wings Of Support, is actively working to introduce these girls to the advancements of the 21st century. We believe it is crucial to provide them with the necessary experiences and resources, moving beyond mere discussion and into tangible solutions.
Now is the moment for action. Let us ensure that these girls have access to menstrual products when they need them the most. By imparting comprehensive knowledge about menstrual hygiene, we are teaching our girls not to let anything hinder their progress. We must avoid contradicting ourselves by allowing menstruation to disrupt their normal lives and education. Let us come together to eradicate this impediment from their lives, recognizing that menstruation is an integral part of a girl’s journey towards womanhood.
