JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Officer at Starlight Foundation will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission. This position involves coordinating and implementing projects focusing on providing quality education, vocational training, and public education on streetism. The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing efforts to create awareness of the dangers of streetism, provide constructive opportunities, and ultimately work towards ending this issue in Ghana.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Collaborate with team members to allocate resources efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes effectively.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Track project performance against key indicators and milestones.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project activities, outcomes, and impact.
- Capacity Building:
- Identify capacity-building needs within the project team and provide training as necessary.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and learning opportunities.
- Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets and expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and challenges to project implementation.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Development Planning and other related degrees.
- Proven experience in project management within the NGO sector.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Be a self-starter.
